Program Description
An Associate in Science (AS) is an excellent degree choice for students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in math, science, natural or physical science, or medicine. Areas of study under the AS degree span a wide range of academic interests. Completing an Associate of Science can be your first step toward a bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
For degree completion, students are required to successfully complete 45 general education hours and 15 hours of elective credit. Craven Community College has also identified literature, history, health/physical education, and ACA as required courses.
