Craven Honors Program
Looking for a way to get more out of your classes? The Craven Honors Program gives academically motivated students the opportunity to dig deeper into subjects that interest them, work closely with faculty, and take on projects that go beyond the typical classroom experience.
As an Honors student, you’ll develop an Honors Project as part of a course taught by an Honors Certified Faculty member. You’ll work one-on-one with your faculty mentor to create a project connected to the course and your interests.
Honors Projects take learning a step further through research, critical thinking, and extended analysis. It’s your opportunity to ask bigger questions, explore new ideas, and challenge yourself academically.
Who Can Participate?
You don’t have to enroll in a separate degree program to get involved. Craven CC students can participate in the Honors Program if they:
- Have a 3.5 GPA
- Have completed at least 12 college credit hours
If you meet those requirements and are ready for an academic challenge, Honors may be a great next step.
