Craven Community College (Craven CC) will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its latest construction project, the Corporate Training Center, on Tuesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. It will take place between Kelso Hall and Bate Hall on the New Bern campus.
The building will primarily be used for professional development as a flexible meeting space to conduct trainings or host educational meetings and seminars. This one-story building will consist of a large meeting space and several office spaces. It will allow for larger class sizes to meet or spread out if necessary.
"The Corporate Training Center is a vital investment in both our campus and the wider community," said Craven CC President Dr. Ray Staats. "This state-of-the-art facility will allow us to expand our professional development offerings, accommodate larger groups, and ultimately strengthen the workforce of our region. It's a testament to Craven Community College's commitment to providing accessible and impactful educational opportunities for all."
The anticipated completion date is February 2026. Click here to learn more about the project.
