Be sure to bring:
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- 2023 federal tax returns and W-2s
- Dependent students need a parent present, along with their SSN, tax forms, and W-2s
Create Your Federal Student Aid Account Before Attending (Must be completed 3 days prior to completing the financial aid application)
- Navigate to https://studentaid.gov/
- Click on "Create Account" in top right-hand corner of page.
- Click "Get Started."
- Follow instructions on creating a username and password.
- You will need to enter your Social Security Number (SSN), full name, email address, phone number, and date of birth. If you do not have a SSN, follow the prompts to create a username and password and answer questions to verify your identity.
- Any person contributing their information to the FAFSA must create a
Federal Student Aid username and password. - Once you create your username and password, you must wait until the Social Security Administration has confirmed your identity. This takes 1-3 days on average and will show your username as "matched" when you log in.
- Once your ID and password have been confirmed and matched, you may complete your 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
