International Paper made a donation of glassware, filters, and more equipment to the Science Department at Craven Community College. With an estimated value of $12,352, the donation included flasks, burettes, condensers, and a variety of items made out of ground glass. Ground glass is used as a container and lid that is useful when using chemicals that compromise plastics and rubber.

Robin Schroeder represented International Paper, and Sara Jones (Lab Coordinator), Katrina Bishop (Chair of Math, Science, Business & Info Technology), and Charles Wethington (Executive Director of Institutional Advancement) received this donation on behalf of Craven CC. This was a tremendous step to improving the education of students interested in the STEM fields, and towards the enrichment of all students at Craven CC.
