BioWork: Process Technician

Course Code: BTC-BWPTECH

This course provides the foundational skills and industry knowledge needed to begin a career as a process technician in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing industries. Process technicians play an essential role in manufacturing environments and are involved in all stages of the production process. Responsibilities may include operating equipment, monitoring machinery, documenting and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and helping improve manufacturing efficiency and quality. Currently, more than 108 biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities across the state employ over 32,000 people, with average salaries around $93,000 annually. Entry-level positions typically offer salaries ranging from $45,000 to $70,000, depending on education, experience, and specific job responsibilities, making this field an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career path.
