This course will focus on leadership principles needed by law enforcement leaders and executives to successfully lead their organizations. It will focus on the concept of "adaptive change" and the importance of emotional intelligence. Leadership styles, mentoring, and conflict resolution will be evaluated throughout classroom breakout sessions. Students will be challenged with how to become an effective leader and create positive change in their current leadership assignment. This is a demanding, hands-on class where students will learn how to deal with toxic employees and unmotivated subordinates.
Course fee is waived for all sworn/affiliated NC Law Enforcement Officers.
