Summer Shorts (5-Week Classes)

Are you home from college this summer? Pick up extra credits in just five weeks with Summer Shorts at Craven Community College. These transfer classes are available at a cost of 47% less than the same class at a four-year university, saving you time and money on your college degree.

Several programs are offered online and financial assistance is available for qualifying students.

Virtual Advising

We are making every effort to protect the health and safety of students who are currently registering for classes. You are welcome to visit us on the New Bern or Havelock campus, where we are practicing social distancing and have enhanced cleaning protocols in place.

You can also join us in a virtual meeting room where advisors are prepared to answer your questions about admissions, advising, or financial aid. Hours are as follows: Monday/Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Virtual meetings are as easy as 1-2-3:

High Value at a Low Cost

At just $76 per credit hour, our tuition is about 40% less than public universities and 90% less than private universities.* Many students also receive scholarship support from Federal grants and the Craven Community College Foundation.
