Since 2004, the Institute of Aeronautical Technology on Craven Community College’s Havelock campus has offered comprehensive, state-of-the-art training in aircraft maintenance. This hands-on training helps prepare students for employment at Fleet Readiness Center East at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and with private or commercial aviation firms.

(The Aviation Management and Career Pilot program is no longer accepting new students and will not be offered at Craven Community College after the Spring 2027 semester. Students who are currently enrolled should speak with their advisor if they have questions.)
