Did you know that créme Brûlée is also known as burnt cream? It is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a layer of hardened caramelized sugar. It is typically served cold as the custard needs time to cool and set to achieve its proper, creamy texture. Créme caramel, or flan, is notably more stiff and jiggly than créme brûlée, although both consist of a combination of eggs, dairy, and sugar. It gets even better! Do you want to know how to make the best cheesecake of your life? Well, this class is for you. Not only will you make créme brûlée and flan, but also the perfect, creamy cheesecake that actually freezes very well! Bring take-out containers or Tupperware to transport your baked desserts home.
