Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training is a 40-hour program to assist law enforcement officers better understand and respond more effectively to individuals in crisis in a manner that enhances both their safety and the safety of the public. Some of the topics to be discussed will be accessing services, adolescence, autism, aging and dementia, mental health 101, de-escalation skills, human trafficking, hearing voices, medications, mobile crisis teams, personality disorders, self-care, schizophrenia, stigmas, suicide, traumatic brain injuries, and PTSD. This class is a series of lessons that teach you how to use permanent ink pens and colored pencils to confidently complete an original, abstract, colorful project from beginning to end.
